The Diocese of Winchester is engaged in
re-structuring to enable us together to become a mission-shaped
diocese. One of the ways it is doing this is through stages of Mission
Action Planning (MAP).
This process is a way of turning God's Vision for us into practical
realities. It is a tool for discerning what God is saying and doing in
our Diocese, Deanery and Parish. It is an exciting opportunity to be
creative and to explore the new and imaginative, as well as renewing
what already exists.
Deanery Mission Action Plan (dMAP)
Deanery is engaged in delivering key strategic priorities using a
Deanery Mission Action Plan (dMAP). This MAP is a
living document which draws together a plan to develop our Deanery in
its missional activities. For a copy of the Andover Deanery Mission

We believe God's Vision for St.
Mary's is to SEEK God in Worship, to SERVE
one another and to SHARE the love of Jesus. We have
now moved from discerning that Vision through our Review and Planning
stages, to the Acting Phase of our pMAP.
Here for St. Mary's
Church pMAP. The original was agreed by the
Parochial Church Council (PCC) on the 22nd September 2015, approved by the
Andover Deanery Mission and Pastoral Committee on the 1st October 2015 and copies
were distributed on Sunday 18th October to the congregations.
Further to a PCC Away Day and an additional PCC meeting both in July 2016,
revised and updated pMAP has been agreed and copies were distributed to the
congregations on Sunday 7th August 2016.
Our objectives are to continue to turn the key aspects of our pMAP
into strategic developments as we move forward together. Small teams
have been formed to spearhead and direct how we believe the Lord is
guiding us by His Holy Spirit, to achieve all that He is calling us to
be and do in His service.
With our desire to SHARE the love of Jesus, our pMAP
has identified two specific areas for outreach mission
activity. We are about to embark upon an exciting,
yet challenging programme to a rapidly expanding residential
development in the Parish.
